Hello, friends  this is ashhadk and today I am going to give you a short description of a virus I would rather say we all consider any kind of malware as a computer virus but there is a difference, a computer and other malware are very much different today I am going to give you a description on a virus and malware now, first let us understand what is a virus.

WHAT IS VIRUS?

A virus is a malicious piece of code that when executed replicates itself in other programs or files. Its corrupt files and can steal private information like a number of a credit card of the user and send them to hackers, who use these data for their purpose.

Types of a virus:

There are a lot of types of viruses, that can-do different thing, but the main ones are:

1.     Trojan

2.      Worms

Trojan:

Trojan is a hacking program which isn’t self-replicating, that can control all function of the user’s computer, these types of malware aren’t detected like a virus and the can infect computer without problems. Its look like a useful application it will not harm your pc unless it is triggered by some external resources.

VIRUS

Worm:

A worm is a type of virus that replicates itself to infect another computer through the internet. They don’t corrupt files but can modify the content of a file system of a host like delete files or they can create traffic in the network consuming the bandwidth. Work is little different they are different than a virus they can trigger themselves and they can try replicating themselves or the network and they can travel over the network without any external support they don’t need any particular files or an application to travel over a network these worms can travel over the network by themselves.

NATURE OF VIRUS:

A typical virus goes through the following four phases;

Execution phase:

The function may be harmless, such as damaging, message on the screen, such as destruction of data files and programs.

Propagation phase:

Virus places an identical copy of itself.

Dormant phase:

The virus will eventually be activated by the same event as a date, the presence of another program or file, the virus is idle. Not all virus has this stage.

Triggering phase:

 The virus is activated to perform the function for which it was intended.

How to stay away or safe from all these viruses the most common method to delete a virus is using antivirus software, such as AVG, Avast, Norton, McAfee, window defender, Avira and many best which I mention in the blog.
